Ah, you're making me homesick! Having grown up in St. Petersburg, the call of Chattaways is something I can even hear in Michigan. (By the way, Tampa always feels alien to St. Petersburgers, too.)

I must say that in "the good old days," Chattaways didn't have the lovely umbrellas, the koi, or nearly as many plants. It feels a little dressed up from what I remember - but in a very pleasing way.

I moved from St. Pete 31 years ago, but a trip to Chattaways always makes me feel grounded and that I'm home.

Tom, thanks for your comment. I checked out your site: http://www.bartlettpark.net/ -- very nice. I like the concept of a neighborhood blog, excellent idea, well executed. --Hilton
