China Yuan is the best! I've been going there for about two years, based on another review I read in a local paper. I'm all about eating tradtional ethnic food, so when I heard this was the best and most authentic Chinese food in town, I had to try it! Although I was a little put off by the old restaurant and location, I am absolutely thrilled by the renovations and new ambiance. There have been times that I was the only caucasian in the place (a sure sign of good food), but I've always felt welcome by the staff. My favorites include Salt and Pepper Squid, soy sauce chicken and the fried chive dumpling. My Indonesian friend Alphons has turned me on to other treats, I normally might have been intimidated to try, but I've been pleased with everything. Oh...and if you like spicey food, be sure to try the hot sauce in the jar on your table. The secret recipe is sure to get your attention and eventual craving!!

You would think, considering how diverse and Asian our population is here, that the Big Island of Hawaii would have more to offer. We have plenty of good Thai places to eat, but nothing like a super good Chinese restaurant. This sounds terrific!
