We used to have a Cafe Mozart up here in Kitchener, Ontario Canada that made some awesome cakes and treats. Do you have the same recipes? I would love to have one of their rockies. It is similar to a rum ball but built on a cookie base with a cream in the middle and looks like a miniature mountain, hence the name, rockie. We miss it up here and would love to have one that tastes just as good. Please let me know if I can get a recipe or a rockie sent to us. Thanks.

I’m not certain, but I would definitely call the folks at the Mozart Cafe. (Don’t forget, they’re closed today and Monday.) My guess is, that’s in their repertoire, but I don’t know for sure. As far as I know, they’re the only German bakery here in St. Pete, so if they don’t make it, I’m not sure where else to recommend.

I have a wonderful friend, Gisela Krueger, from Germany that has an up coming birthday. She speaks fondly of red velvet cake with REAL buttercream frosting (not like the Publix brand). Can you give me recommendations where I can purchase one next month?
