Spring officially began yesterday at 7:44am. But those of us with allergies, especially oak allergies, already knew it was here. My apologies for the brevity of this morning’s post, but my army of antihistamines, decongestants, cough syrups, eye drops, expectorants, and analgesics has been totally overwhelmed by this year’s high pollen count.

But, a trial though they are for some of us at this time of the year, you can’t help but admire the beauty of the massive, gnarly spreading oaks (and their yellow spawn covering cars and sinuses cavities) and the south’s many, beautiful, flowering trees.

Pear, cherry, dogwood, magnolia, and many other types of flowering trees are all blooming now. So, today the best I can do is present a few pictures I snapped of some up in Atlanta last week…and go open a new box of tissue.
