This is a repost of material buried in a much longer, earlier post about something else: Gulfport Trolley Day. I’m extracting this material and reposting it here to give the Madeleina Cottage Restaurant the focus it deserves.

At the end of a long day of exploring various trolley servies in St. Petersburg, a friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a fine English meal at Madeleina Cottage Restaurant, which is practically across the street from the bus stop in the Corey Avenue shopping district.

Madeleina’s is a very typical English pub/restaurant with an excellent menu and a full bar. Their bloody Mary was the best I’ve had in a long time. My friend had a cheese steak sandwich, pictured below.

And, I had fish and chips. (How could I not?!) Seriously, it was the best I’ve had outside of London.

You won’t be disappointed. It’s excellent. I just ate there again, recently. I have to limit myself so I don’t go there too often!
