What an amazing vegetable, the romanesco. I’d never seen one before. Next time I’m at the market, I’m going to buy one to bring home to prepare and eat. This time, I was content just to take a picture of it and marvel at its true fractal geometry. It’s like a science fiction plant to me…not something from this planet.

The St. Pete Saturday Morning Market has increased the number and quality of its organic vegetable booths. If you haven’t been to the market in a while, this is perfect weather for a visit!
